Our recruitment process involves a few easy steps:

To apply online you have to create an account; to do that, press"Sign In" on the Careers Opportunities page, then follow the steps. Once your account is created, you can browse through the open postings and apply to the ones you are interested in and qualified for.

Once you have selected "Apply", a screen will appear confirming that your application has been submitted. You will also receive a confirmation email to your email account on file. Be sure to check your junk mail if you do not receive it. Also, our Human Resources team reviews applications as they come in. If you are not short listed, you will receive an email notification from SMS Equipment notifying you that you that we are proceeding with other candidates.  We encourage you to monitor our Job Opportunities Board and apply for any other positions of interest, now or in the future.  You can also review your Candidate Profile to ensure your resume, contact information and all your skills and qualifications are up to date.

If you have forgotten your password, you can click the link to have a password reset sent via email. If you do not receive this email, there are a number of possible solutions:
  • Verify if your email address is correct - a typo in the email address would result in the email not being sent
  • Verify that the email address entered is the one that is related to your account
  • The email has been accidentally flagged as 'Spam' or 'Junk' by your email provider, and you'll need to find it in your Spam folder

Yes, you can apply to multiple opportunities that you are qualified for.  If you are shortlisted for a role and contacted by the recruitment team, inform them that you are interested in multiple roles within the company.

If there is a closing date, it will be specified on the job posting. If the job posting has no closing date specified, then there is no closing date for that posting.

SMS Equipment offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, which is competitive in the market and encourages and appreciates commitment and performance. Details about the specific compensation and benefits connected to the position you are applying for will be provided by the hiring panel further along in the recruitment process.

SMS Equipment has an active apprenticeship program and also occasionally hires summer students and cooperative education (co-op) students. These opportunities are advertised on our current career opportunities page or through the universities and colleges we support.
