SMS Equipment inaugurating new facilities!

On September 21st, SMS Equipment inaugurated its new facilities in Laval, in a festive event shared with customers, suppliers and partners as well as senior leadership from Komatsu and Wirtgen Group.

This modern new facility is home to the Regional Office of SMS Equipment for Eastern Canada, and is a true single-access point for equipment, parts, technical service and all our specialists in one convenient location.

The building of 5,480 m2 on a property of 32,515 m2 includes a state-of-the-art workshop and warehouse equipped with the latest tooling to ensure efficient service to customers. It is located at 1800 Montgolfier Street in Laval, on the service road of Hwy 13 near Hwy 440.

Around 250 guests were impressed to discover LEED-certified, modern installations that meet very high environmental standards. The site also offers optimal working conditions in terms of health and safety. The warehouse is equipped with the latest technology to allow timely response to customers’ orders, whether in person, by phone or on-line through the ePortal ordering site. The yard can accommodate a large selection of equipment models, including the latest Komatsu and Wirtgen machines equipped with intelligent machine control.

To ensure the efficient operation of the Laval branch, Mr. Alain Bédard, Executive Vice-President, East Region, is proud to announce the appointment of Mr. Charles-André Lalonde as Operations Manager, and of Mr. Marc-André Perras as Manager of new and used equipment sales. The entire team at SMS Equipment is very happy to have celebrated this inauguration and is highly enthusiastic about the years ahead.
