SMS Equipment Supports You Through COVID-19. Find out how.

SMS Equipment Remains OPEN to Support Essential Services

March 25, 2020
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SMS Equipment has deployed a solid business continuity plan to protect our employees, our customers and our business. As we enter the next phase of this crisis with provinces announcing the closure of non-essential businesses, SMS Equipment will continue to update its operational practices and abide by all Provincial and Federal orders. Although each province may vary in their definition of essential services, we recognize that many of our customers will be deemed as an essential service in the following areas:

  • heavy equipment services
  • businesses that provide materials and services for the operation, maintenance and safety of transportation systems
  • construction that supports provincial infrastructure
  • mining and resource extraction products, including mining supply and services that support supply chains in the mining industry
  • businesses that ensure global supply of forestry products
  • business that ensure global supply of petroleum and petroleum by-products

SMS Equipment is committed to your on-going support requirements as an essential service. Supporting the supply chain for your essential services is our responsibility. In most areas, SMS Equipment remains open for business through its normal business channels.

In provinces where Provincial Health Authority orders may limit SMS Equipment’s ability to keep all branch offices open, we will maintain emergency support for all your essential services and parts needs. Please call your branch at their number posted at www.smsequipment.com/contact-us or call 1-866-458-0101 for 24X7 access to support and parts.

We have reliable supply chains in place to ensure the availability of essential equipment, parts and services. Further, we have augmented our online e-Commerce systems and parts delivery options. We continue to support on-site customer needs and are rapidly activating remote support centers in areas such as autonomous equipment operations and equipment maintenance support.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, SMS Equipment remains committed to adjusting as required to meet your needs as an essential service. We encourage our customers to visit our SMS Equipment website at www.smsequipment.com/covid19  where we will be communicating frequently and posting all updates on any operational changes across Canada.

Thank you to all our customers for your continued support and let’s work together to manage the business through these unprecedented times.
