Takeuchi released its new TB225 compact hydraulic excavator to the North American market this summer. In addition to an all-steel construction, it features best-in-class engine output that results in more power to increase productivity.

“Takeuchi is excited to add the TB225 to our lineup,” said Keith Kramlich, National Product & Training Manager for Takeuchi US. “We are dedicated to innovation and advancing technology, and we believe the TB225 is a perfect example of that. This machine allows operators to navigate jobsites that have limited access, providing customers with a more versatile machine that expands their capabilities as well as profits.”

The 4,993-pound (2,265 kilogram) excavator is designed to add efficiency to jobsites with a dig depth of 8 feet, 5.5 inches (2,580 millimeters), maximum reach of 14 feet, 4.2 inches (4,375 millimeters) and bucket breakout force of 4,339 pounds (1,968 kilograms).
TB225 also has a retractable undercarriage that allows it to navigate sites that have limited access, making it a great option for a wide variety of projects.

Low on emissions, high on comfort

The 19.6-horsepower (14.60 kilowatt) Tier 4 Final Yanmar engine boasts an automatic fuel priming system, auto deceleration and a dual-element air cleaner, which are standard. These features ensure the machine is able to operate in an efficient, yet environmentally friendly manner.
In an effort to boost jobsite efficiency and productivity, the TB225 is packed with features. The compact excavator comes with an LCD multi-information display, automatic load sensing, two-speed travel, pilot-operated joystick controls and a backfill blade with pin-on extensions.
The operator’s station has a ROPS/TOPS/OPG protective structure, along with a suspension seat and adjustable arm rests. The ergonomic design was created to keep the operator safe and comfortable on any project.
Daily maintenance is also improved with the addition of a large engine hood that provides easy access to routine maintenance points.
