President's Message Fall 2019
In this season of fall and thanksgiving, we reflect on products that provide opportunity for SMS Equipment and ultimately our customers.
October 1, SMS Equipment announced new long-term dealership agreements with BOMAG and Cemen Tech, two globally renowned and respected roadbuilding and construction manufacturers. We welcome these companies and their product lines into our offerings.
BOMAG is a world market leader in the field of compaction technology and manufacturing of machines for the compaction of soils, asphalt and refuse, stabilizers/recyclers, land milling machines as well as finishers. BOMAG was founded in 1957 and now has 2,500 employees worldwide. With headquarters in Germany, the company operates 12 subsidiaries across the globe with over 500 dealers in over 120 countries. BOMAG offers 22 product groups of equipment.
Cemen Tech, Inc. has 50 years of manufacturing and engineering experience in the volumetric mixing industry. As the industry leader, the company strives to provide the highest quality concrete mixers to its customers. Cemen Tech currently operates in over 60 countries servicing mixers across the globe.
It is an exciting time for SMS Equipment as we continue to pave new paths forward in the road, construction, mining, forestry and utility markets. We are confident our new brands, BOMAG and Cemen Tech, will only enhance our ability to meet our customers’ needs.
Additionally, our subsidiary, Transwest Mongolia, celebrated its 10th anniversary in September. Transwest Mongolia began with the supply contract and maintenance and service agreement for sixty-eight units of Komatsu equipment for the Oyu Tolgoi open-pit mine. Since then, Transwest Mongolia has developed its facility infrastructure and capabilities to provide repair and maintenance support for all the Komatsu mining and construction equipment operating in Mongolia. SMS Equipment congratulates Transwest Mongolia on its continued success.
