The new hood design for the smaller forwarders is more streamlined, with a modern shape. It has the same feeling as the bigger forwarders but in a smaller format.

A brand new engine installation conforming to the latest emission legislation. It also offers many other advantages, such as an all new AdBlue system, a new exhaust system and hydraulic tappets.

Our forwarder cranes have a unique design and are 100% optimized for Komatsu forwarders. The well-matched combination of machine, crane, hydraulics and grapple provides a forwarder with high productivity and good reliability. The hoses are highly protected thanks to the ProTec link, which provides higher reliability.

The Komatsu 845 has a large bunk characterized by its flexibility and many options. One is FlexGate, the gate that provides visibility and flexes out of the way if struck by the crane. This simplifies loading and minimizes the risk of machine damage. Another is FlexBunk, which with its hydraulic height-adjustable stakes and option to widen the bunk, provides a high load capacity.

In thinning, it’s extra important that the driver has a good overview of both the surrounding forest and where the machine is in relation to each individual tree. That’s why the visibility in the 845, as in all Komatsu forwarders, is excellent in all directions – including over the hood, down towards the wheels, and over the load space.

The stability of the forwarder is absolutely critical to achieve good productive, and Komatsu forwarders have a unique design that makes them very stable.

If the forwarder is operating at a slant or over an obstacle, the operator can press down the front bogie’s rear wheel on the downhill side. This compensates the tilt to a certain extent and keeps the cab more upright, which increases both manoeuvrability and operator comfort.

The machine is ready for installation of MaxiFleet, the world’s first fleet management system for forestry machines. A unique tool that enables searches, compilations and presentations for all the machine and production data that your machine generates, with the powerful MaxiXplorer as the information source.
